Chapter 11


Sabari was sweating watching the streaming video. While the video continued to play, Chang Lee turned to Sabari.
“Sabari!!! Can you recognize the guy in the video? Have you seen him before?”

Chang Lee giggled posting that sarcastic question. Sabari stood silent without answering and Chang Lee continued.

“There cannot be a better evidence that this.. Correct? What if, I send this video to the police department. I assume that they are eagerly looking for evidence. Just imagine the kind of damages to you and your organization. “

Sabari stood without uttering a word. Chandrika and Chang Lee smiled at each other.

Sabari said, “Ok.. Listen”

“Yes… “

“I know everything about the project. But… The hardcopy is with my boss Prathap… “

Chang Lee and Chandrika fumed hearing the answer. Chandrika said, “Chang!! I don’t think this is working out. It is time to use the gun… He is seriously testing our patience.. “

Chang Lee answered, “Need not wait for my nod… Go ahead”

“Do you want to do the honors Chang?? Or shall I?”

“It is your country and the privilege is yours… Go ahead”

Chandrika pointed the pistol angling Sabari’s chest and her finger on the trigger.

Sabari understood that he has to get rid of the tight corner and said, “Hold on…Hold on.. “

Chandrika said, “What do you have to say now?”

“I don’t have the hardcopy… but… “

“But??”

“I have the soft copy.. “

“Soft copy??”

“Yes… I have the soft copy saved for my personal purpose.. It is saved in my mobile with an encryption algorithm… “

Chandrika brought down her gun that was pointed towards Sabari.

Chang said, “We don’t care about the format. All we need is the details of the project…Give your phone now “

“Hold on… Before I have to do that, we need to talk”

“Talk about what?”

“A deal…”

“Deal with you??? No way…”

“I’m damn sure that you must have made some multi-million dollar deal for this project. I need a share from the deal… “

“We will not waste time talking about the deal. Instead will shoot you to death. That is easier you know..”

“Oh ya.. But you know… You cannot decrypt those documents without my help. They are encrypted by a strong key algorithm.”

Sabari giggled as he said that. Chandrika and Chang Lee understood that there is no point in going violent on Sabari.

Chang Lee said, “You are right… We are talking to a Chinese R & D organization.. I can’t reveal the names now… “

“I like to know the deal amount?”

“5 Million US dollars”

“That is……. Hmm.. Not bad… I suspect that you are giving me some lower numbers.. So that you can pay me less…”

“Nope.. That’s the actual numbers”

Sabari sat on the couch comfortably and said, “hmm.. ok for now… so my share would be 30%”
Chang instantaneously got furious, grabbed the gun from Chandrika and walked towards Sabari. He placed the gun’s mouth on his chest.

Chandrika pulled Chang Lee and said, “Come on Chang… We need the project… for that..  we need him alive.. “

Chang grinned and said, “This guy doesn’t know to whom he is speaking.” He turned around towards Chandrika. At the same moment, Sabari used the opportunity and grabbed the gun from Chang. He ran towards the wall and pointed the gun towards Chang Lee and Chandrika.

Sabari turned to them and said, “I’m not a traitor Chang. If money had been my only motive, I would have moved to any developed country and sold this project. But I didn’t for a bunch of valuable reasons. And by the way, you guys don’t know the value of this project.”

Chang Lee and Chandrika stood without speaking a word.

Sabari said, “Let us end everything here… If I leave you alive, you might bother me anytime in some way or the other… So good bye.. “

Chang Lee screamed, “No sabari… Don’t shoot…. We will not bother you anymore”

“Sorry Chang….This project is a result of my hard work that I had put in the last two years. Only I know the value of this. Let me finish this once for all. Ladies first… I want you to watch her die and then you… Say Byeeeee…..”

Just when Sabari was about to pull the trigger, a hand fell on his shoulder…
