The constable walked to the corner of the room that had a huge two-door refrigerator and Inspector Mahadev followed him. The constable opened both the door of the refrigerator wide open. The lights of the refrigerator brightened the compartments of the refrigerator. The first thing Mahadev noticed was that the shelves were designed differently that the usual ones. Most of the compartments had glass beakers arranged in order and each one of it had a red solution in it. Inspector Mahadev looked at it for few seconds and turned to Parasuram. “Parasuram… You need to check this out.. “ Parasuram walked to the refrigerator followed by Sidharth and Sabari. Mahadev took one of the beakers out of the refrigerator. Sabari was confused as Inspector Mahadev pointed to a red dot over the dead body of Prathap. Sabari turned to Mahadev. “Inspector… I think I’m missing something. You said that Prathap was attacked by a heavy weapon. All I can see is a minute red dot. Sabari jumped from his bed in shock hearing Sidharth’s shocker. “Sir…?? What did you just say?” “Yes..Prathap is no more” “What happened to him?” “I got a call from Inspector Mahadev a while back. He gave me this tragic news. “ “How did it happen Sir?” “He was killed” “How? By whom?” “Inspector Mahadev didn’t give me any detailed information. When he called me, he was on his way to Prathap’s residence. I’m starting now. So, I will meet you there shortly” “I will start right away sir” Sabari disconnected the call began to sweat in the air-conditioned bedroom. Ananya came near Sabari, placed her hand on the shoulder and asked, “Sabari!!! What happened? You look troubled..” Sabari took a deep breath and replied, “Yah… Prathap was murdered by someone. It was almost midnight 12:00 AM and Sabari couldn’t sleep. The incidents related to Ananya haunted him badly. The more sleepless he was, more the questions started to arise. Sabari turned around to see what Ananya was up to. She was in deep slumber.  After looking at her divine and peaceful sleep, he fumed even more. ‘How dare can she sleep peacefully after lying me?’ ‘Who is the one she is talking to? That too switching off his phone immediately after talking to her’ Sabari looked at the clock and the time was 12:45 AM. He understood his disturbed mind wouldn’t allow him to sleep. That would disturb his productivity at work the next day. So, he decided to take a sleeping tablet. Sabari came out of the bed and walked towards the cupboard in the corner of the bedroom, where the tablets usually was kept. He opened it and along with the tablets there was a diary. Sabari stormed into the rest room and was in action. He unlocked Ananya’s mobile phone and navigated to the call log. The last number was an unknown number without a name. He saw the digits and tried to recollect whether it is a familiar one. But his mind said No. He wondered who could that be. Sabari knew that he cannot be inside the restroom for long and decided to call back. He pressed the ‘Call’ button and waited. There came a response that the person is not reachable. He wondered how come the person went into ‘Unreachable’ mode in a matter of few minutes interval. He was sure that Ananya was hiding something from him and her reactions are fishy. ‘Should I ask her about this?’ ‘What if she lies once again? That would lead to another bunch of lies.
